Royal Mail staff have voted three to one in favour of nationwide strike action in an attempt to protect jobs and working conditions. The last nationwide strike was in 2007. Royal Mail has been in talks with unions in order to avoid strikes and continue with modernisation plans.
The planned strikes are likely to take place in the run up to Christmas and will cause problems for many businesses and consumers. |
